A+ Award from ideastream to OHSThe Orange High School Writing Center and seniors Ethan Vincent and Anna Wolf who helped develop the center's concept were recently featured on Ideastream's "NewsDepth" program. The students and program under the guidance of Mrs. Kathleen Frazier were awarded the A+ Award from PBS and Ideastream for their outstanding work. Ideastream's Director of Education Michael Edelman interviewed the students and Mrs. Frazier for the segment that aired on WVIZ in mid-October and is now posted online at www.ideastream.org/programs/newsdepth/a-plus-award

The students used a strategy called the "Design Thinking Process" to develop the concept of a Writing Center at OHS and obtain funding support through the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. The OHS Writing Center also won third place honors at the Future Problem Solving International Conference this past summer.
