The OHS senior has received the Ohio and Global Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and is a recipient of the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award presented by the University of Rochester for her ‘demonstrated commitment to understanding and addressing difficult social issues and leadership and dedication to community action.’ A team captain of the OHS Volleyball Team in her early high school years, Teresa has worked as a lifeguard at the Cleveland Racquet Club since last February.

Every school year, the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle recognizes six seniors for their leadership, integrity, and academic achievements. We thank the Kiwanis Club for its ongoing support and congratulate Teresa Achkar as the December 2022 Kiwanis Student of the Month!
