We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Brady Middle School Power of the Pen team, who captured second place in the state of Ohio at this year's tournament. Competing against 175 schools from across the state at Ashland University on Thursday, May 22, 2025, our talented writers demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication.
Our championship team included seventh graders Indra Iyer, Elle White, Hannah Deshpande, and Levi Thorman, along with eighth graders Samiya Mendiratta, Ada Moran, and Olivia Kim. Together, these seven writers represented Brady Middle School with distinction and brought home this prestigious honor.
Beyond the team's collective success, four of our writers earned the honor of placing in the top 50 statewide, qualifying them for the competitive Power Round. Samiya Mendiratta achieved an impressive eighth place among 236 eighth-grade writers, while Indra Iyer earned eighth place among 224 seventh-grade writers. Ada Moran and Levi Thorman also secured their spots in the Power Round with their top-50 finishes.
This remarkable success reflects not only the individual talent of these young writers but also their commitment to craft and their support of one another as teammates. Brady Middle School is incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the dedication they've shown throughout the season. Congratulations to Brady Power of the Pen Team!
